With Ulisse Adventures you can join the Camp USA program! This is a cultural exchange initiative that allows young people, university students and others, to work in summer camps in the United States during the summer. Our large community will always be by your side, day by day, step by step, to advise and support you. Requierements...
Be between the ages of 18 and 27.
Have an intermediate level of English.
Skills or certifications in activities such as tennis, water sports, art, photography, hiking, crafts are preferred.
Availability from June 15th to September 15th, you decide when to leave!
Previous experience in summer camps, schools, volunteer work, or other educational settings is appreciated.
Disposition to be affectionate, energetic, responsible, creative, proactive and entertaining.
Camp USA Employee Characteristics
Average salary at the end of the experience : between 2000-2500$. Food and accommodation included.
Contract duration: 8 to 10 weeks.
You will choose your camp : it is up to you to choose between sports camps, nature camps, or other thematic options. Your main task will be simple but important: supervise the children, organize and participate in the activities.
Travel to the United States : at the end of your contract you will have the opportunity to continue traveling, perhaps with your friends from the campsite!

Traditional Camp
A classic summer camp offering a mix of recreational, sports, and creative activities. It’s the ideal place to socialize, have fun, and learn life lessons through traditions like the morning flag-raising ceremony or the evening campfire.
Girl Scout Camp
An environment designed to inspire and empower girls, helping them develop leadership, courage, and confidence. In addition to classic activities, the focus is on personal and communication skills.
Day Camp
Perfect for those who want a more flexible routine. Campers participate in activities during the day and return home in the evening, while counselors can stay at the camp or with local families.
Non-Profit Camp
Created to offer an inclusive experience for everyone, regardless of economic means. Participation fees are minimal and fully reinvested in maintaining the camp.
Camp for Children with Special Needs
Designed to accommodate children who require additional support. Counselors receive dedicated training to understand and respond to their needs, creating a welcoming and stimulating environment.
Specialized Camp
Dedicated to those who want to focus on a specific passion, such as dance, sports, science, or art. Participants are motivated to improve their skills while also taking part in recreational and group activities.
Religious Camp

What will your role be?
Your role at a camp in the United States can vary depending on your skills, interests, and the organization of the camp. Here are some of the main roles you could fill:
Counselor (Animator/Group Manager)
You are the point of reference for campers, accompanying them in daily activities and ensuring their safety and enjoyment. It is the most common role and perfect for those who love working directly with children and teenagers.
Specialist (Specialized Instructor)
If you have a specialty skill, such as sports, performing arts, music, water activities, or crafts, you can teach and lead campers in these activities. This role allows you to share your passions and skills.
Lifeguard (Lifeguard)
If you are certified as a lifeguard, you can work at the camp pool or lake, supervising water activities and making sure everyone is safe.
Support Staff (Support Staff)
Behind the scenes, there are many essential roles, such as working in the kitchen, taking care of cleaning, or managing the maintenance of the facilities.
Activity Coordinator
Responsible for planning and organizing camp activities, this role is ideal for those with excellent organizational skills and who want to help make each day unique.
