What is the J-1 visa?

Entering the United States for reasons other than tourism, regulated by the well-known ESTA program , can be a complex and articulated procedure. However, the U.S. Department of State offers different types of visas that, although requiring rather lengthy bureaucratic procedures, allow access to the country for specific purposes. Among these, the J-1 visa represents a great opportunity for foreign students, offering them the possibility of entering the United States for cultural exchange programs, professional training or temporary work experiences .
